Now what do you think this girl taught her horse?
I know it's hard to think in the moment but we train horses any time we ride and something I always want to become more aware of is "By doing _____, what am I teaching this horse?"
I've wanted a horse since I was a little girl. So after a few years not riding regularly I've decided to get back into my life-long love, full swing! After only a few months of horse shopping I found my cute mare Dani in 2012. Then in 2015 we moved from CO to NC and bought horse property. We now also have Chance a sweet Arabian gelding. This is the story of my continuing adventure in the world of horses in my backyard.

oh lawd.
people need to realize everytime we are with/on/around our horses, we are training them.
I can't stand people like that. The girl was leaning to far forward before the jump and that caused her to fall. Plus smacking the horse after she got up, that is rude and it's not like the horse will understand he/she is getting smacked for refusing. She probably trained that horse to run away next time the rider falls. Then the girl didn't even bother to get her horse and made someone else get it? If I were the show judge, I would've disqualified the rider. It also annoys me the people talking in the background aren't alarmed the rider is doing incorrect punishment. Ugh people...
really annoys me when people do that, doesnt she realise what the hell shes doing?!?! poor horse and then not even being responsible and getting her own horse. whats the world coming to ?
its her fault she fell off! first of all, she CAUSED her horse to refuse by not keeping him strait! even if she absolutley could not get him over, she should have been prepared for a refusal, sat deeps, and really held on with her legs. By hitting him, she was doing nothing but making her horse more afraid.
