Seamus

The process of finding a new horse is always difficult, more so with a breed that is often highly misunderstood.

Finding a gaited horse that had a good gait and temperament was a little bit of a challenge but a trip to Kentucky was fruitful! We met a almost 5 year old (an April 2018 Kentucky Mountain horse model) in Feb. of 2023 I had that "feeling" about him, we clicked.  Sometimes that is all you need!

He's very willing and almost too "in your pocket" but I love him dearly. We've grown a bond and trust that I know will continue to blossom the more we do.

I have gone to several obstacle clinics with Seamus and he's done really well. Hoping that we can expand on that and get out more. Maybe trail riding, maybe mounted shooting, mounted archery?  Maybe just goofing around in the saddle.

I've also attended two Ivy Starnes clinics, she is an excellent gaited horse trainer and I can see attending more clinics as she has ones close by.

He's a pleasure to have at Geek Acres.  Dani and Chance tolerate him so that's good!!
